Tactile Turn Mover and Shaker Pens

Before fidget spinners were a thing, many EDCers would keep their hands occupied with something a bit more practical: a clicky pen. But if you ever carried an average clicky pen, you'd know they're fragile, prone to leaking, and that oh-so-satisfying clicky top is nothing but a nuisance to everyone around you. Tactile Turn's Mover and Shaker pens, on the other hand, are a bit of a revelation. They're precision-machined from durable metals, take all sorts of refills, and feature a custom-made titanium clicky top unlike anything you've clicked before. The first versions were already an EDC favorite, and they've just been revised with a ton of EDC-focused improvements.

Upon first glance, it might look like the Mover and Shaker haven't changed much at all from the original versions. But in this update, the devil's in the details. They still feature that substantial yet minimal silhouette that gives it a good balance, heft in hand, and comfortable grip. The unique micro-ridged grip section now extends along the entire body of the pen for complete control. As a result of all the ridges it's even harder to distinguish where the barrel unscrews to swap out refills, giving the pen its sleek, seamless look.

The biggest and most important change is actually in the click mechanism. These new pens ditch the old brass knock mechanism for a bigger, stronger, and more durable custom titanium design. It not only stands up to repeated clicking and general wear and tear, but it offers more travel when pressing it. It also helps the refill retract further into the body of the pen to better prevent accidental leaks in your pocket. This is a welcome change for those of you especially tough on your pens who prefer the ease of use of a click mechanism instead of dealing with pen caps to lose or slightly more complicated bolt action mechanisms. The new titanium clicky isn't totally silent, though, but it's worth it for the overall enhanced performance.

Of course, the Mover and Shaker come equipped with an EDCer's best friend, a sturdy, stainless steel pocket clip. The pens come in a huge range of EDC-friendly materials, including lightweight and colorful anodized aluminum, hefty polished brass, stainless steel, copper, and polished grade 5 titanium. There's a little under a week left to get in on this fully funded Kickstarter set to deliver in January at the link below.

Deal Alert: 25% Off All Nodus Wallets

If there's one thing in your EDC that's probably putting in overtime now that the holiday shopping season is in full swing, it's your wallet. And if the one you're carrying now isn't as slim, organized, or as secure as you'd like it to be, Nodus has just what you're looking for. Their wallets feature thoughtful design cues focused on what EDCers care about most: storage, quick access, and portability. They put that same design language into goods for carrying more than just your cards and cash with their latest phone cases and zip coin pouches, too. The best part? You can grab all of 'em on sale for up to 25% off, or even put some of your purchase towards a good cause this holiday season.

While all of these goods are on sale, a couple stand out as EDC wallet contenders for their impressive functionality in a compact form factor. The first is the aptly named Compact Wallet, which boasts the capacity of a traditional billfold in a much slimmer, minimalist silhouette. Two external slots give you quick access to frequently used cards, while a convenient pull tab lets you fan out the rest of your cards (up to 8) for easy, at-a-glance retrieval. The center pocket stashes bills and other odds and ends, and a small internal slot can hide away a spare key for a more consolidated carry.

Then there's their new Compact Coin Wallet, an elegant solution to the headache of trying to manage coins in your EDC. A zip-around design keeps coins in one place, while a dedicated coin pocket separates them from your cash and cards. The coin pocket even has an expanding section to accommodate more change, but otherwise keeps the wallet compact when empty. Like its zipper-less counterpart, the Compact Coin Wallet also features external card slots for quick access and contactless pay, as well as a center compartment for bills and a spare key.

For this Black Friday sale, you can choose how much you'd like to save or put towards Nodus's selected cause called Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE), an ocean conservation charity: BLACK25 gets 25% off with no charitable donation, BLUE15 gets 15% off with a 10% donation to BLUE, and BLUE25 gets 0% off with a 25% donation to BLUE. The sale is live now through midnight on Monday, November 27th over at Nodus's website linked below.
