Olight ION

Keychain flashlights are one of the best ways to EDC a light, but their size often limits what they can do. It's hard to fit the features and ease of use you get from a traditional light when it has to fit on your keys. The Olight ION is different, packing twin LED power, unique and easy to use controls, and premium materials in a slim and compact body.

The ION is a compact LED flashlight that has an attractive titanium alloy frame. And at around 2.25 inches long and weighing only 1.13 ounces, it won't add unnecessary bulk to your carry. Unlike other lights, theres no complicated twist activation or button presses to turn on the ION. A simple on-off switch on the side controls the dual CREE XP-G3 emitters at the front. Those two LEDs work with the TIR reflectors to give you a large hotspot that’s especially useful for illuminating wide areas.

The best part about this light is how easy it is to control output. There's a touch-sensitive panel at the top that lets you set the light to your desired brightness. There are four stepped levels to choose from, ranging from an economic one lumen to a max of 320 lumens out the front. The controls are also covered in Corning Gorilla Glass for protection against the daily bumps and scrapes they'll encounter while attached to your keys.

At its max 320 lumen setting, the internal Li-Po battery will last you 27 minutes of run time. Dial that all the way down to the one-lumen setting and runtime increases to a full 90 hours of use. But wherever you are on that range, you can easily recharge the ION because it is micro-USB compatible.

With the Olight ION, you get a special light for your EDC that's a step above. Elevate your keychain light carry and pick one up for yourself at the link below.

Deal Alert: Grab a Kershaw Chive for $23

Kershaw knives have earned a reputation of being solid performers that won't break the bank. The Kershaw Chive is a classic example that dozens of our readers carry in their EDCs. Today it's on sale for just $23 at Amazon, down from its MSRP of $79.99.

For that price, it's a bargain given its EDC-friendly features and classic Ken Onion design. Its 420HC steel blade is on the smaller side at just 1.9", making it discreet to use and carry. It deploys via a thumb stud with Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening and secures with a frame lock on its stainless steel handle. Last but not least, a pocket clip and lanyard hole give you more carry options as an EDC or backup blade.

Our readers have great things to say about the Chive too. One reader called it the "best one handed opening pocket knife" they've owned, while others point out how versatile it is. It's "perfect for carry with more formal clothing," and useful on the job for heavy duty work like opening boxes and cutting hoses. You can pick one up one sale at the link below.

Leatherman Skeletool Damasteel

When it comes to covering your bases, nothing gets the job done like a multi-tool. But all too often the blade on a multi-tool doesn’t come close to a dedicated knife. Leatherman is one of the most trusted names in the game and thanks to a functional design and lightweight build, the Skeletool hits that sweet spot for anyone looking to EDC both a multi-tool and a competent folding knife. The new limited edition Skeletool Damasteel brings an eye-catching Damascus steel blade to the mix for added longevity and a touch of style.

Despite its small size the Skeletool Damasteel packs a punch. Thanks to its compact, skeletonized body it manages to weigh only 5 ounces for ease of carry. You can also access all the tools with one hand, making it perfect for the solo handyman. You’ll get needle-nosed pliers, wire cutters, a large bit driver, and the carabiner/bottle opener which lets you attach it to a pack or pop open a beverage.

But what makes the Skeletool stand out from the pack is its signature combo knife. It’s half-serrated and half-plain edge to handle a wide range of cutting tasks, made from a Swedish-forged Damascus steel. The process results in a unique blade every time, so your Skeletool won't be like any others. That said, the Damascus steel isn’t just for looks. It offers improved corrosion resistance and superb edge retention for the cleaner cuts and less maintenance. It’s 2.8 inches when deployed and locks up via a liner lock when in use.

The Skeletool has been a go-to tool for EDCer’s since its release, but the addition of the Damascus steel blade makes it that much more of a must have. If you don’t want to sacrifice a quality blade in your multitool, then check out the Skeletool Damasteel by clicking the link below.
