My Everyday Carry
submitted by Michael Steck
Here’s what a concealed carry instructor carries on daily basis:
STI Spartan 1911 (w/extended mag well, Hogue slim grips, competition barrel/bushing, custom trigger job - just under 3lbs).
Winthrop IWB Holster
Chip McCormick Shooting Star magazines loaded with 230 gr. Hornady JHP reloads
Custom Magazine holster by Wintrhop Holsters
Crews Z87+ Shooting Glasses
Streamlight Microstream
Benchmade Auto Styrker 9500SBK (Survived a combat tour in Iraq and heavy use. The blade broke and I had it redone.)
Keys with blood type indicator
T-mobile Android
Swiss military watch
Editor’s Note: Interesting carry, thanks for including your profession — it really adds context to your loadout. I can’t comment too much as I’m not familiar with CCW EDC principles, but in general your carry covers most bases. The blood type indicator is an interesting addition. I think for some, a set of ID tags with medical info might be worth carrying. Lastly, good choice with the Benchmade, apparently it has obviously served you well. Thanks for sharing!
