I always have these in my bag or on me at work. In civilians, I can’t carry a one-hand opening locking blade, but I carry the light, pen, and book still.
- Kindle. Just the basic version. I got a good deal on the reader, and I have the Amazon case for it, which I really like.
- Hinderer XM-18 3.5” slicer grind with flipper and green/black G10 scale. One of the greatest perks of being a Soldier is Rick Hinderer’s Military/LE direct sales. I would never have purchased a knife this nice otherwise, and I love it. Easily the best knife I have ever handled, and a great gateway knife into the world of mid-techs and customs.
- LAMY Safari. Living in Germany means I get access to lots of great pens in just about every little town here. I like the Safari, but I can’t really get away with using anything but black ink at work, so I feel like I am missing out on the whole “experiment with different colors” piece.
- Eagletac D25C Titanium. I just got this light about a week ago and I can’t stop playing with it. I love the sound of the click, and the glow in the dark button is cool. I installed (crappily) some tritium in a gap on the clip, and it has held up well so far. I would like to get it done better without smearing or bubbles at some point.
