I am an architect based in Los Angeles. When I’m not in the office, I try to be in the outdoors as much as possible. These are the items that I carry with me everyday when I’m backpacking in the Sierra Nevada mountains. All the items are selected for durability and light weight. The items fit in an ultralight Cuben Fiber stuff sack that’s translucent so the items in it are visible. The titanium folding Esbit stove requires Esbit tablets that can also double as a fire starter in an emergency. The mini Bic lighter is a bright color that I can easily find in the bag. The cord is lightweight, very strong and reflective which is very helpful at night. Not pictured and is usually in this bag is an older Black Diamond head lamp that needs to be replaced.
