What the name references instead is the heavy texturing on the glass-filled nylon scales that give the best handle on its substantial 3.5” modified drop point blade. Its shape makes it ideal for general slicing and piercing tasks, while its black oxide-coated 8Cr13MoV steel composition provides solid edge retention and corrosion resistance.
