Shaving the bulk off a loaded keychain and banishing pocket bulge forever has long been a conundrum for EDCers. The “suspension clip” came as a simple fix: dangle your keys so they never bunch up in your pocket and let gravity do the work. The recently popular Griffin Pocket Tool zeroed in on that functionality with its deep clip design, while adding even more utility to your carry thanks to its built-in tools. But because a few of those extra tools—like a pry bar—need length for better leverage and comfort, the Griffin can be too long to hang some keychains.

The new Mini variant shortens the original Griffin design, lending itself better to key suspension instead. It also weighs nearly less than half of its bigger brother, but still packs 9 tools in its sturdy stainless steel frame. Staple EDC functions include a bottle opener, box opener, flat head driver, bit folder, prying edge, and various wrench sizes, to name a few. If you need a way to carry your keys that’s dead simple with no moving parts (but plenty of handy tools), check out the Griffin Mini at the link below.

For those that want to try out how a pocket hanger works before you buy something, attach your keys to the lanyard hole of your favorite pocket knife and see how you like it.

Nice looking, and I like the smaller size. I have an Atwood, or would seriously consider one for my key ring.
