The company Byrd is a sister company to the legendary Spyderco Knives.
I have been using the Byrd Cara Cara 2 for a little over a year, it's been my main EDC blade for everyday now, and I must say it is very reminiscent of the Spyderco Endura. it has passed everything I've put it through.. It's slightly large, with a open length of 8.5-inches, but with the FNR handles it makes the light weight and EDC-able. The blade features a 8Cr13MoV steel, which is manageable seeing that the knife goes for only around $20 dollars on Amazon right now. (Can't complain about that!) The FRN handles sport these bidirectional scales which makes the knife very nice to hold. Locking of the blade is solid with it lock back design. (Which has never failed me).
To wrap things up, the knife is solid. This knife is a pure work horse! It's a knife that you can put through the ringer without hurting your wallet! If you are looking for a cheap EDC-able knife check out the Byrd Cara Cara 2
