I kind of like Titanium and Carbon Fiber, is it obvious?

Love the Quantum TI, mine is always on my keychain. 100 lumens and tiny.

So how are you liking the boss? Did you get the 35 also?

I really love the BOSS! Best flashlight ever! It's pretty close to perfect, as far as I'm concerned. And the 7075 aluminum makes it unique.

I didn't get the combo so only the 70 for me. But it's the perfect size for EDC IMO, the 35 would be easier to carry, but too small for the hand. Besides, I really like having 3400 lumens in my pocket! (the real reason)

I hear ya, whenever they next drop the HA aluminum I'll be looking to get a 70. They just had a drop of brass and copper but I am not a big fan of the softer orange metals. Personally I don't mind carrying a larger light cause most of the time I am in dirty work jeans and wearing a belt. Also the 70 is awesome cause you can run it one cell 18650 for battery life or or 2 cells for raw skin peeling lumens lol.

Wow, we think alike. I was never a fan of brass/copper either.

And the 70 is much smaller than I expected, it's actually the smallest 18650 I have. BTW, which config of the BOSS are you hoping to get?

I'm thinking about the redomed xpl with the red secondary because if I'm getting a boss even though I won't use it that often I want the full brightness so I can turn night into noon haha. if I want hi CRI I'll reach for the HDS. As for the red secondary, because I mostly work in the dark so the red won't blow my dark adaptation.

TBH, I'm somewhat of a tint-snob myself and usually go for Nichia 219b. But every Overready light I own has had exceptional tint. To the point of not being able to really tell the difference between the XPL redome 45k, XPL dedome 4k or the 219b 45k. IMO, you really can't go wrong with any of these. So yes, go for the lumens!

And as for the secondary LED, I have both the red and amber and I prefer the amber. Both do a nice job of preserving your night vision, but the amber is a little brighter and a little easier to see with in my opinion. But both are useful. I guess it depends on what you plan to use it for.
