Ridge Wallet Review
Dango have impressed us before with their unique and high-quality takes on the everyday wallet. They pair their eye for minimalist and functional design with top-shelf materials to bring you wallets that are impressive to both look at and use. With their third crowdfunded wallet the P01 Pioneer, they've set their sights on consolidating your EDC essentials in one package, keeping your cards, cash, and most importantly, your ideas within reach.
Like all of their wallets, Dango starts with the materials. For the Pioneer's wallet section, they've sourced Italian vegetable-tanned leather that's cut, sewn, and assembled in a factory part of the SFMade Organization out of the Bay Area. It's got RFID-blocking material laminated into the leather, and with the included silicone band and room for up to 20 cards, gives you flexibility with how to carry your essentials. This includes compatibility with a compact 24-page notebook as well as their separate MT02 one-piece multi-tool.
The P01's custom pen is CNC-machined out of 6061 aluminum to keep it light and compact, with an anodized finish for extra durability. It takes a Schmidt's 4889M pressurized ink refill, but is also compatible with Fisher Space Pen refills which should please plenty of EDCers. The pen's tail end also comes slotted with a paracord lanyard, giving it easy retrieval and compatibility with other split rings or keychains.
Dango's P01 is certainly out to live up to its name, blazing a trail towards gear that's a cut above the rest while down to business with improving your carry. They've just launched the project on Kickstarer, so be sure to check it out at the link below.
