With limited pocket space, you have to be able to justify the size and weight of everything you EDC. And while it would be nice to be able to carry dedicated tools for every task you will encounter, it's not realistic. What you need is a solid, compact EDC multi-tool that you can actually use to get the job done. The upcoming and fully funded BitzBlade 2.0 on Kickstarter aims to fill that role. It's a feature-packed multi-tool that takes the place of a large tool set, all while fitting in your pockets.

The thoughtful design of the BitzBlade 2.0 lets you pare down your EDC to the essentials. The highlight is its three major interchangeable modules. The first is a knife blade. Unlike the knives found in most multitools, the one on the BitzBlade 2.0 is not at all an afterthought. It's made out of 440C stainless steel, which is excellent for edge sharpness and retention. The second is a dedicated utility box cutter and scraper blade. That's made to tackle more regular use, and its 440 stainless steel is easier to sharpen too. And then it has a combination pry bar, hex wrench, and bottle opener.

On one end of the tool, there's a small LED flashlight powered by watch batteries. On the other end, there's a tungsten carbide glass breaker tip that's good to have in an emergency. Reverse that and you'll find the slot to carry standard screwdriver bits, with some Torx and hex bits as well. And because it's machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum, the BitzBlade 2.0 should stand up to hard use. Its sturdy build and pen-like shape allow it to be used as a kubotan in a self-defense situation as well.

StatGear claim the BitzBlade 2.0 will be the last multi-tool you'll need. With their proven track record of delivering high quality EDC gear like the TriTac pen and Pocket Samurai knife, that might just be the case. Consolidate your gear and secure a BitzBlade 2.0 for yourself at the link below.
