steer clear of the old suunto core's. they suck. very problematic, scratches easily, and the band breaks EVERY time. Not sure about the new ones, but if you are looking just spend the money on a Traverse Alpha or a Garmin

I agree, I had the band on my core break in half after only two years of regular use. Nothing rugged. The buttons seem sticky and not as responsive as well

I also had the bezel ruined after a year and the buttons would get hit by my wrist putting it in a sleep mode. Was the weirdest thing. I loved the look and design, but would never buy another Suunto again because of it.
