While multi-tools are convenient for handling daily tasks, they tend to be pretty bulky to carry. But not all multi-tools have to weigh you down or take up all your pocket space. Instead of being a brick in your pocket, Dango's MT02 multi-tool is designed to integrate with your other daily essential—your wallet—to give you 14 functions while still slipping into your carry with ease. It's a unique and robust addition to your EDC that's able to pull its own weight while making the most of what you're already carrying.

On its own the MT02 is not your ordinary card-sized tool. Rather than a flimsy strip of metal with a rudimentary set of functions, it's machined from a thick slab of high-carbon stainless steel so you'll never have to fear bending or breaking it. These are arranged on the outer edge of each of the MT02's sides and corners, with the center cutout acting as a grip that gives ample clearance for your knuckles.

The way the main sides work is the MT02 sits either flush with its compatible wallets (the Dango T01 Tactical or D01 Dapper wallets) to expose the bottle opener along the bottom via the wallets' push notch, or by sitting halfway out of the wallets to give you access to the full set of tools along the side. Index points on the short sides of the MT02 lock the tool into place into compatible notches on both wallets during use, giving you a full-handed grip that also puts their knurling on the bottom edge to good use.

Using this half-open, full-grip configuration, you're ready to get to cutting with either the MT02's serrated saw edge/blade along its top side, opening with its 1/4” hex wrench or can opener on its top corner, or, by flipping the MT02 around, get more options for wrenches and drivers with its bottom edge. That's not all, of course. You can also take the tool out on its own to make use of its additional functions, including a ruler, rope tensioner, and even a phone stand.

Whether by itself or as a utility upgrade to your Dango wallet, the MT02 ticks all the boxes of a useful everyday multi-tool. You can pick one up direct from Dango at the link below.
