Plenty of people EDC a bag, and like the gear in your pockets it’s all about finding the right tool for the job. Finding one bag that fits every situation can be tough, and in some cases even the best bags can be impractical. Rather than making one bag packed with features, a new Kickstarter campaign by HEIMPLANET is promising three. Each bag from the forthcoming Transit Line is specialized to give you the right set of features, capacity, and carry options for whether you’re working, traveling, or out on the town.

The first bag is the 34L Transit Line Travel Bag, and aims to be the last travel bag you’ll ever need. Not just because it’s guaranteed to meet the carry-on requirements of all airlines, but also because it’s packed with features that any frequent flyer will find useful. Packing is easy thanks to a clamshell design that opens flat and quick access to the main compartment from the top. There's also a dedicated laptop compartment lined with stretch pockets to fit smaller tech essentials you don’t want to lose while traveling. It's perfect for those pesky charging cables and USB sticks that always seem to disappear. Top it off with water-resistant YKK zippers, dual density EVA foam for the shoulder and back padding, and a hip strap to evenly distribute the weight, and this bag gets the job done even if you’re only going away for the weekend.

If you’re not going to be in and out of airports and want something a little lighter, then there's also the Transit Line Rolltop Messenger bag. You’ll get the same water-resistant YKK zippers that you’ll find on the Travel Bag and a padded compartment that can hold up to a 15-inch laptop. When you need to be professional it’s perfectly suited as a slim briefcase to hold your documents, but because the main compartment has a roll-top closure you can fit way more in here than the typical briefcase. A zippered pocket on the front can hold those items that you might need quick access to, and it also comes with a removable courier strap for when you need some added support.

Both of these options seem great if you’re traveling or headed to the office, but what if you’re just hanging out and don't need all that gear? That’s where the Transit Line Sling Pocket comes in. The Sling Pocket is just for the essentials. Having a place for your keys and wallet leaves you with more pocket space for other items in your EDC. It has a padded back panel for comfort and an interchangeable strap for when you feel like switching it up.

All three bags in the Transit Line come with Dyecoshell fabric, which is a unique way of blending two different dope dyed yarns resulting in a strong and environmentally-friendly outer shell. HEIMPLANET completely funded the campaign in about 48 hours, so if you're weary of campaigns not getting passed the finish line don't worry. All you have to do is pick the bag (or bags) that caught your eye and make your pledge at the link below.
