I replaced the Wave serrated knife with a house key and custom-made a letter wallet for the boy kit.
The Wave lanyard attachment has 9 feet of nylon cord tied into a wrist loop and the pocket clip is modified for easy attachment on a belt.
Having the Wave clipped on my belt, I am able to open the pliers with one hand. This is easier with the lanyard, but possible without it as well.
Wallet contains a credit card-size diamond sharpener. I have yet to use it so far.
I have been testing this kit for about two months, forcing myself to use the tools here instead of making a trip to the shop to get another tool. I have been quite impressed with the versatility here, but have noted a few deficiencies I am working to address.
