Chris, yes, the neoprene is padded, and when I'm wearing the holster, i forget its even there... the only real reminders are the sandpapery grip of my sidearm scraping my hip... but whatever, not many people know I'm carrying, and that's probably the most important if not best part...
at least the 3.0 one is, not sure about the one pictured above..
that might be the 2.0...
