ArmyTek is a brand that doesn’t pop up in as many EDCs as it should, especially considering this Canadian maker’s got some serious manufacturing chops. Their lights are considered to have military-grade quality, with some very robust features. The new Prime A1 flashlight uses a 1xAA/14500 cell to power its XM-L2 emitter up to a maximum of 450 lumens across 6 modes. The TIR reflector it uses enables a cleaner and farther throwing beam for long-range use. It’s built tough: type III hard anodizing with anti-slip matte treatment, double o-rings on trapezoidal threads, protected electronics and impact-resistant front steel bezel all contribute to its resilience. Give the Prime A1 a try if you need a rugged flashlight for your EDC.
