One solid rucksack is all you need. And the Mission Workshop Black Camo Sanction aims to be the last one you ever need to purchase. I have a Mission Workshop Rummy that is awesome. When I mean awesome, I usually destroy a Jansport backpack within about 6months and obliterate a Swiss Army backpack in about a year. My Mission Workshop Rummy has been looking great and working great for about two years. All the buckles have been replaced at least once and one I replaced with a carabineer. If this backpack is anything like my messenger bag as far as materials and construction, plan on having this thing for a long time. I love mine even though I've burned with a soldering iron, ran over it with my car, lost it off a motorcycle and later recovered it, hiked up, down, through, under and around a bunch of places, and thoroughly over-loaded it. The fabric holds up, is water proof, and comfortable. I will most likely be picking up a backpack from them in the future.
