It's Halloween season again, and oddly enough, it's an appropriate time to rethink your EDC. You've got your knives and lighters for making jack-o-lanterns and flashlights to keep little ones safe on their neighborhood routes. Maybe you won't go so far as repurposing your go-bag into trick-or-treating candy storage (though I can't blame you: candy just tastes better when it's free), but there's good reason to get your EDC in the Halloween spirit with some new orange gear.

Now, you don’t have to use Halloween as an excuse to pocket orange gear. Adding that color to your carry has year-round benefits as well. Orange is typically used in the outdoors and zombie apocalypse survival situations for its strikingly high visibility. Compared to the usual black finishes, orange makes your gear easier to find whether you've dropped it in the woods or it's sitting at the darkest bottom corner of a loaded bag. Here are our picks for hi-vis orange gear to carry this autumn:

Spyderco Endura

This hi-vis blade from Spyerco cuts with ease, it’s also much easier to find should you drop it on the ground or behind your car seat. The lockback mechanism is sturdy and strong, and the 4-way clip ensures that you'll find a carry solution to fit your needs.

Love orange. I can never find the black EDC gear in the deep depths of my bags.
Have you considered a bag with hi-vis interior? I was skeptical about the inside of my bag being yellow, until I realized it makes everything so much easier to find.
My favourite colour. But my EDC is already a mixture of black and grey and it'll stay that way unless I win the lottery.
Awesome, good for camping and day trips in the forest or snow!
GREAT, love Blaze Orange!
Nice. Also maybe check out Hellbent Holsters Orange Wallet. I have the black version, and it's really nice.

Personally, everything in my carry is black EXCEPT I have a high-vis orange paracord lanyard on my knife. This makes it easy to find when all my EDC gear is on a table, in my storage box, etc.and gives my carry a little pop of color.
Nice! I'm not one for full-on bright colors for ALL of my EDC gear, but it does make finding things much easier. Cool wallet, I'll keep that in mind!
I'm a Baltimore Orioles fan, so I might add a few of these items to my EDC collection.
Another benefit of orange is it gets rid of the "scary tactical" look.
