Editor’s Note: STAY MURDERED OUT. (Except no tint on the lens, that would be silly.)

Editor’s Note: apparently on Wednesdays people take pictures of themselves and post it on the internet, presumably to decrease their follower count (not sure). here’s what my EDC looks like on my person, sorta. I put my victorinox money clip in my coin pocket because I don’t have that much cash anyway. Spyderco Leafstorm clipped to front right pocket. Keys off my belt with a Lucky Line Secure-A-Key 40401 (rides nice and high). and uh, black tshirt, seiko pilot, self edge x flathead 05 bk, clarks street desert boot.

UNDFTD “5 Strike” Maglite Solitaire & Bottle Opener Keychain
Editor’s Note: Simultaneous LOL & SMH at these streetwear companies coming out with overpriced keychain accessories. $26 for an incandescent Maglite Solitaire is a bad idea.

Pedro’s Trixie Bike Tool
Editor’s Note: I don’t own a bike but I figure some of my followers would..!

What’s in my bag. I didn’t realize how murdered out I look all the time…my bike/rain gear is all black too. ALL BLACK EVERYTHING.

Editor’s Note: ymfy’s ABE EDC. I tend to blog a lot of black… I would suggest a flashlight for your bike ;)
EDIT: I would suggest replacing those batteries for your SureFire for your bike. ;)

Editor’s Note: I approve! Even though he’s got an ALL BLACK EVERYTHING EDC, you can see some wear from heavy carry — it’s clear that this guy uses his gear. He’s got all his bases covered with no redundancy. Wesley has some really nice gear, you should check his blog out. :)

At the other end of the EDC pen spectrum lies the tactical pen, which can serve as both a writing instrument as well as a potentially life-saving self-defense tool. In general, they feature bombproof-level durability, master grade construction and aggressive styling. Pictured above is the CampCo UZI Tactical Defender Pen:

“The most unique feature of the pen is that it employs the UZI DNA Catcher on the crown of the pen. The sharpened crown on the end can be used to jab or poke an attacker, which will not only cause extreme pain, but it will also collect the aggressors’ DNA which can be used for future identification.”

Other tactical pens worth mentioning include the Benchmade 1100, Surefire EWP-02, Smith & Wesson, and the CountyComm Embassy Pen.

Fisher Black Titanium Nitride Bullet Space Pen
This pen by Fisher shares many features that the pen enthusiast, minimalist and urban survivalist would appreciate, making it a general EDC pen worth considering. It is sleek, compact and easily pocketable when closed, but when in use it extends to a comfortable length for improved handling. It uses a pressurized ink cartridge unlike normal ballpoint pens, allowing it to write at any angle, on almost any surface (even wet ones), or in zero-gravity. These features really make it a versatile pen for almost any situation — what other pen would you use if you were writing upside down in a tank of water in outer space?
Other similar compact pens include the Zebra 301 Compact and the Lamy Pico, but IMO these pens are not even worth linking. B)
