Seiko Chariot Steve Jobs Watch

"So Steve Jobs is not technically a part of its name, but it may as well be. You might recognize the Seiko Chariot from one of the most iconic photographs of Jobs’ leaning on the first Macintosh, though the angle certainly doesn’t help. A limited edition run of the simple, minimal watch is being released, with the option of the original 33mm case size as well as a more modern 37.5mm case and..." (via GearHungry)

Seiko SRP777 Prospex Dive Watch

An automatic dive watch is one of the best investments you can make for an everyday timepiece. They're built tougher than usual, can go with you anywhere, and don't have batteries that ever need replacing. Seiko's a brand that's been synonymous with dive watches for decades (especially their premium PROSPEX line), so when a release like the SRP777 comes along that pays homage to the past while being ready for the future, it pays to take notice.

The SRP777 takes its cues from a Seiko design from the '70s and '80s, the 6309. It's delightful in its details, from the sword marker dividing the 12 o'clock marker above the Seiko logo, to its iconic sword and arrow hands. It's also packed full of features beyond its solid 4r36 hacking and hand-winding movement. Under its Hardlex lens you'll find a day/date window and highly visible dotted markers and hands coated with Seiko's intense Lumi Brite lume paint.

A screw down crown gives you 200 meters of water resistance, meaning the SRP777 is fit for duty, rain or shine, land or sea. And while its 44.3mm case may seem large, the turtle shell-like design tapers off at the lug ends to better wrap around your wrist. With its classic design, it's a watch you can wear every day and still rock on your weekend getaway.

Dive into the world of tough watches with the Seiko SRP777 and feel the difference of an EDC watch that can truly take on every day. Pick one up at the Amazon link below, and be sure to check out its siblings in other colors, the black-and-gold SRP775 and the "Pepsi" SRP779.

Seiko SKA725P1 Kinetic Military Watch

Military watches are a great way to step up your wrist game by pairing classic designs with rugged construction—these watches take their cue from the field, after all. Seiko knows this better than most, with their SNK line of military watches one of the most popular icons of the style.

So how do you improve on a great watch? By taking everything to the next level, of course. This is Seiko's SKA725P1, which takes the original SNK's aesthetics and adds some muscle behind the movement. In addition to using automatic movement, the SKA725P1 adds Seiko's Kinetic technology to the mix, letting you use your normal arm movement to power the watch's power reserve. This means your watch is still ticking on Monday when you forget to wear or wind it over the weekend.

The SKA725P1 also got a bump up in size to a 42mm diameter and 12mm case thickness, improving its depth resistance to 100 meters. The increased case size also means a larger face, giving better legibility on the watch's numbers, indices, and 24-hour indicators. Time to upgrade your military style—pick up Seiko's new Kinetic from Amazon at the link below.

Seiko SSC229 Solar-Power Watch

Watch batteries last a long time. But when they do finally die, it’s always at the most inconvenient moment. What if you never had to change them again? The Seiko SSC229 sport watch is solar powered, so as long as there's sun you won’t have to replace its battery.

Seiko dive watches have found a home on the wrists of many EDCers thanks to their durable build quality and functionality. The SSC229 has a 44.5mm case with Japanese quartz movement and a stainless steel bracelet.

Underneath Seiko’s Hardlex crystal window are bold, Arabic numerals for at-a-glance legibility. When light is scarce you can still keep track of time thanks to the glow-in-the-dark hour and minute hands. In the center of the watch face are three sub-dials that display military time, 60-minutes, and continuous seconds. It's also submersible up to 100m, so this watch has you covered above and below the surface.

The SSC229 takes the aesthetic and functionality that EDCers have come to love from Seiko, and puts it in a watch that never stops. Make sure to click the link below if you want to add this solar-powered time piece to your collection.
