We were as surprised as anyone when we saw the reaction to Trayvax's new Element wallets. Despite a market saturated with minimalist wallets, the Element hit a combination of leather and metal that resonated with the wants and needs of their customers for a modern heirloom wallet.

Trayvax are back where they started, crowdfunding their latest product — the Contour. Designed to bridge the gap between the urban workweek and the weekend excursion, the Contour combines the best parts of all the other Trayvax wallets in a sleek and high-quality package.

Its base plate is CNC-machined from 304 stainless steel with scratch-resistant aerospace-grade coating. 5 ounce top grain leather wraps around the Contour:  thick, sturdy, and malleable to accommodate your cards and cash, along with a sliding rivet to further tailor its capacity to your carry. Its laser-cut top plate features an integrated bottle opener and carabiner opening.

Backers also have a choice of material accents for their wallet, which come in gold, burgundy, or black titanium nitride coating. This hard PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating hardens and protects the steel underneath, and touches it up with that extra aesthetic flair.

As with all Trayvax wallets, they stand by their heirloom warranty to repair or replace the Contour for life. If you're looking for a stylish, sturdy, and enduring wallet to add to your EDC, check it out at the Indiegogo link below.

$159 (£75) for this is too much imo. Although I do like the look of it, synthetic materials would work just as well and are less likely to rot in the British weather after two years.
