This looks great but I love my GR1 from GORUCK! Someone needs to do a write-up for that!
Randy Miller ·
Yes but the price difference is huge. $99.99 compared to GR1 for $295.00!
Broon ·
Yep i really LOVE the extra 199 bucks in my pocket ;)
Broon ·
well maybe not in my pocket. 200$ in singles would be uncomfy to carry around :D
Broon ·
AND its cheaper at Amazon, just an FYI
Nate Lussier ·
Very true, but I am all for local, american made, with a lifetime warranty. But the best part about an EDC is it is unique to the user and no two are alike :)

When I bought my Rush 12 I decided to go through the 511 website rather than Amazon because there was only a $10 difference and with Amazon there is a chance that you're not getting it through an authorized dealer which voids the warranty. Also they were running a special at the time so I got a free backpack with my order. I've had it for about 6 months and I'm digging it. It can hold a surprisingly large amount of stuff without making me look like one of those tactical ninja turtles carrying a 72 hour bag to hold a laptop and a sandwich.

@Nate agree bro. Love my GR1. I love Goruck. Their stuff is great. My favorite bag by them though is the 15L Bulletruck. I like it because it has a lot of room but isn't nearly as big and bulky and is easier to carry it with me everywhere I go. This thing is almost always with me.

Goruck may cost more, but for my money it's worth it. The Zips are crazy good and the fabric doesn't attract dirt or dust and is thick and heavy which I love. Everything about it feels super durable.

That being said I would like to try the rush 12 or maybe the Moab 6 from 511. They also look like good bags.

I've had my Rush 12 for about a year and feel that I've gotten $100 out of it and more. I like the "hidden" concealed carry pocket.
Stefan Smith ·
Had mine for a couple of months and love it.
Costs over $200 here and worth every cent

I have the Rush 72 and Moab 10 I've been using them for more than 3 years. Other than dirt, and they look good dirty, they off the same protection as if it were day 1. Fit and Finish is OUTSTANDING! Wish I had these when I deployed. OORAH! for 511

I have had several 5.11 packs over the years and do not have any complaints about them. However I wonder how well 5.11 will be able to to keep their designs going with the departure of some team members.
James ·
How do they rank up against Maxpedition? I have a kodiak gearslinger that I'm looking to replace with a backpack. I've heard good things about 5.11 but haven't bought any of their products yet
Matt Magnum ·
I love my 5.11 products... I have 12 and 24 great quality products!
