American watchmakers Smith & Bradley are aiming to build the perfect rugged watch with the SANS-13 Evolution, their fifth successfully crowdfunded timepiece.

From crystal to caseback, the SANS-13 is designed to be the toughest thing you put on your wrist. Sapphire crystal protects a military-style dial bolstered by an innovative illumination polymer plate. This plate gives its face and hands a lume that rivals tritium and lasts over 6 hours. A 120-click bezel seamlessly integrates into a 43mm, 316L stainless steel case, a resilient steel also used for its caseback and bracelet. An array of O-ring seals and a screw-down caseback provide 200 meters of water resistance. The bracelet design makes the SANS-13 a perfect fit for every wrist thanks to its removable links that you can adjust using its included screwdrivers. It keeps ticking thanks to its Swiss Ronda 505 quartz, a 1-jewel movement with a 45-month battery life.

Is the SANS-13 Evolution watch heavy-duty enough to be your everyday watch? There's a little over a month left to back one in black or stainless steel at the Kickstarter link below.
