Every day, readers like you proudly share photos of their everyday carry on the site.

Not only is looking through their pockets this way super interesting, but it's also a great way to find really cool gear you never even knew existed (yet somehow, suddenly need…).

When you hover over an item you like and click on it in these photos, you're also letting other EDCers know you find that gear interesting. Each click gets recorded to create a data-driven ranking of the most popular gear, which you can find on the right hand side of the homepage.

Gear with the most views and clicks climb their way to the top of this feed and let the EDC community know what's trending right this second.

I'll skip over a few of the usual suspects and repeats from past monthly roundups. But rest assured, everything here was well within the top 15 ranking. Let's get into it…

The Best EDC Gear from October

10. Trove Wallet

As seen in: Ece's Filmmaking EDC

The only wallet to rank on this month's round-up is actually like two wallets in one. In its regular configuration, this elastic and leather wallet features two external card slots for easy access, and an expandable central compartment for the rest of your essentials. If you flip it inside out, the internal pockets become external loops, letting you secure the wallet to your belt or stash small items like neatly wrapped earbuds.

9. Bastion Carbon Fiber Linerlock Knife

As seen in: Zane's Black and Brass EDC

You're probably familiar with carbon steel on a knife, but a carbon fiber blade isn't something you see that often. Carbon fiber has material properties that EDCers would dig, like its strength to weight ratio and stealth black finish. This linerlock knife from Bastion makes full use of carbon fiber in both the blade and the handles, making it a perfect lightweight carry in formal or professional situations.

8. Victorinox Cadet Alox

The Cadet Alox's appearance here should come as no surprise, considering how popular and collectible it is among the everyday carry community. It's from an iconic brand, it has a perfectly well-rounded set of tools and functions for most people's daily tasks, and it's tough enough for EDC thanks to its aluminum oxide scales.

7. 5.11 Tactical RUSH 12 Backpack

Used by 65 Everyday Carry members
As seen in: EDC for a Corporate Pilot

More often than not, when looking for an EDC backpack you'll have to settle on just two of these three qualities: durable, comfortable, and organized. Not so with the RUSH 12, one of the most recommended tactical EDC bags on the market. It's sized just right as a daypack, yet somehow has a pocket or compartment for everything you'd need for the day. Plenty of readers here haul their essentials in one of these with confidence.

6. Mininch Wrenchit

As seen in: Bill's EDC Kit

Mininch's unique tool designs have made their way to the top of our monthly rankings in the past, but this is the first time their newest creation makes an appearance. The Wrenchit takes cues from Mininch's modular bit driver design, but this time as box-end, imperial, and wing nut wrenches. The result is a super compact, totally flat wrench kit you can take anywhere.

5. BigiDesign TPT (Titanium Pocket Tool)

Used by 16 Everyday Carry members
As seen in: Harry's Mechanical Engineer Pocket Dump

The TPT is one of the newest offerings in the “next level boxcutter” space. It's popular with EDCers because its well-engineered design offers more tools and functions than other utility blade tools at a reasonably accessible price point. Not to mention, it's made of stonewashed Grade 5 titanium—one of the best materials you can get for your everyday carry gear. Carry one of these, and you'll be adding a bottle opener, screwdrivers, pry bar, box opener, and a ton more to your setup with just one tool.

4. CRKT Squid

Used by 55 Everyday Carry members
As seen in: Chad's Brass and Leather EDC

Don't let its size—or its price—fool you. The Squid is a surprisingly beefy EDC blade for something that you can usually find for less than 20 bucks. It even made our list of the Best EDC Knives Under $50 for its useful drop point blade shape, internal frame lock, and manageable 2.25” cutting edge.

3. Maxpedition Mini Organizer

Used by 162 Everyday Carry members
As seen in: Harry's Geocaching Grab Bag

Time to get organized! Besides looking really cool when they're loaded up, these organizers save you time, space, and effort when you need to put your gear to use. Maxpedition's the most popular choice for EDC pouch organizers as they offer multiple sizes and configurations of pouches to cater to every setup. If you change bags often or have trouble keeping all your gear together, try one of these. It could be a gamechanger.

2. Streamlight Microstream

Used by 216 Everyday Carry members
As seen in: Daniel's “Usual Suspects” EDC

Over 200 people on the site keep this little flashlight handy. Other lights on the market might have more features, higher outputs, USB recharging. That's true. But few are as simple and as reliable as the Microstream, which makes it an excellent choice as a backup or for a no-frills, primary light. And yes, it does have a pocket clip and a tail switch despite how small it is. The one I have linked below is a slightly brighter version, at 35 lumens, which should be plenty for general EDC use.

1. Fisher Space Pen

If I had to pick one item to show someone to introduce them to what EDC gear is all about, it could very well be the Fisher Space Pen. It embodies so many everyday carry ideals: durable, portable, reliable, versatile, and so much more. Most everyone has their favorite pen they're familiar with, but unless they're into everyday carry already, chances are their go-to can't write on any surface or in any condition like the Space Pen's pressurized ink cartridge can. And while the Fisher Space Pen ranks at the top of this month, I should note it's one of the most popular items on the site of all time, among newbies and EDC veterans alike.

Dislike "Bastion Carbon Fiber Linerlock Knife", when it's not steel, it's not a knife :D
A fully carbon fiber knife!?!? What? That just oozes awesome to me.
can anyone give me any information regarding the orange/black screwdriver in the left side of the maxpedition mini organizer?
Is that a modded fisher or do they actually sell them light that now? Either way, I definitely need to get on that.
edit: "Photo is of modded fisher space pen"

Please excuse the long day idiocy.
