Looking for a unique way to carry cash and cards? Sometimes, you'll have to think outside the box. Zenlet, on the other hand, have been doing the opposite with great success. They've improved their original Red Dot Design Award-winning wallet and are back on Kickstarter with the new Zenlet 2 Quick Access Wallet. Unlike your traditional leather bifold, this minimalist wallet combines a sleek aluminum unibody enclosure with handy access and security features for your EDC.
The overall design of the Zenlet 2 looks more like a smartphone than a wallet, but it can store cards, cash, and small essentials in its rainproof enclosure. Dirt and splashes aren't the only thing the Zenlet 2 seals out either, as its stylish aluminum construction also protects against RFID theft. For more flexibility, you’ll also get a special sensing compartment. It's a slot meant for one contactless card (like a commuter smart card or RFID access card).
Thanks to a clever tilting mechanism, sliding open the top of the wallet reveals the cards inside. Then by pushing down the lid, the cards cascade out for easy selection. And if you’re picturing a big bulky piece of metal, think again. The Zenlet 2 and all its mechanisms measure only 11mm thick. For even less bulk you can opt for the even thinner Zenlet Al wallet, while the Zenlet 2+ offers a second horizontal sliding compartment for greater carrying capacity.
The campaign has already blown past its goal on Kickstarter, but if you’re interesting in securing one of these elegantly designed wallets for yourself there are still some early bird specials available. Learn more about all three Zenlet wallets by clicking the link below.
