Its a custom thing someone machined for me, its got a hole in the botton for a model rocket engine though I would never try.

I remember having lots of fun with those Estes rockets as a kid. I built a similar model called the Mosquito. It didn't have a parachute it was just tumble recovery. Does your rocket have a launch lug? That's a small straw glued to the side so it can be guided up the launch rod.

no it doesn't and I would never attempt to launch it anyway its 1.5 ounces of aluminum with no parachute ability. It wouldn't tumble down as much as it would shoot to the ground metal tip first.
