Finding a knife that can get the job done day in and day out without looking too intimidating is no easy task, especially if you live in a big city. True to its name, Quietcarry has had success with EDC gear in the past by putting a low-profile and high performance at the forefront of its designs. This time around, the company is going all in on knives with their new iQ EDC Flipper Knife. It's a sleek flipper dressed up in titanium or carbon fiber handles based on the iconic Japanese higo no kami knife.

Quietcarry specializes in discreet and functional tools for the modern EDCer, and the iQ continues that vision. Taking its inspiration from the Japanese Higo knife, this pocket-sized flipper keeps the spine of the blade in line with the scales when deployed making for a simple and refined silhouette. At 2.9-inches the VG10 steel blade is more than capable of handling everyday tasks and its modified Sheepsfoot shape only adds to that functionality. The straight base of the blade is ideal for more controlled clean cuts while the curved tip makes typical slicing tasks a breeze.

But the minimalist design is only one part of what makes the iQ interesting as it’s also built like a tank. The handle is made of tough 5/6AL 4V Titanium known for its high strength-to-weight ratio. And if you opt for the stealthy all-black version you’ll also get a PVD coated carbon fiber mixed in. This adds even more scratch resistance to an already tough knife that still only weighs in at 2.2 ounces. Part of the appeal of a pocket knife comes from how easy it is to EDC. Keeping with the unassuming aesthetic of the iQ, Quietcarry also added a deep-carry pocket clip to the iQ so you can keep it out of sight until you need it.

If you’ve been on the lookout for a minimalist pocket knife that looks as good as it cuts, the iQ Titanium and Carbon Fiber knives are worth looking into. The campaign is already funded (many times over), so check it out at the link below.
