Since 2000, WE Knives out of Guangdong, China have been proving their mettle. With aesthetic, affordable, accessible knives and creative collaborations, they've brought fresh blades for every trade to the table. The 617F continues their production pedigree by offering a sizable, robust knife for a minimal investment, with fit, finish, and features usually found in higher tiers of production knives.

The 617 series were designed with tactile touch in mind, making use of reliable G-10 in a variety of colors as its handle material. Within their minimalist, molded frame, the handles house the blade and ceramic ball bearing flipper mechanism which give the knife the smooth deployment that WE have become known for. No expense was spared for the 617's fittings either, with titanium across the board for its liners, backspacer, hardware, and pocket clip.

The blade itself comes in a unique harpoon shape, giving its tip extra material for strength and piercing capability. Its edge is longer than the usual EDC fare at a sizeable 3.875", but with its workhorse D2 steel and sweeping belly, the 617 makes short work of bigger and heavier cutting tasks that get thrown at it. A particularly nice detail is the spine jimping integrating with WE's logo, giving it extra utility while keeping with its minimalist motif.

While the 617F is designed to be a working knife, you don't have to work so hard to get it. Priced at a single bill, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better knife with the qualities it brings to your EDC. Pick up the 617F at the Amazon link below, and be sure to check out the other handle and blade combinations in the 617 line, too.
