Medical EDC - Tanzania 2018

I'm an emergency physician with fellowship training in point of care ultrasound. I recently travelled to Moshi, Tanzania and spent 2 weeks in the emergency medicine department at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC) teaching emergency medicine and ultrasound skills and learning about the local medical education system and practice patterns. These were the items I brought with me, and they all underwent heavy use. Pocket ultrasound probes like the Lumify I brought with me are going to revolutionize the way we provide care and also education on the global health scene very rapidly in the next few years, and I'm really excited to be one of the educators driving that change.
