When I'm designing new products, I like to have a ruler and several writing utensils. Lately, I like drawing with fountain pens. The Field Journal notebook is great because it has a subtle dot grid and the Tomoe River paper doesn't bleed when using fountain pens. The brass owl is a large bead for paracord.
