Decadent Minimalist DM1 Wallet

There's no shortage of wallets out there that are slim enough to be called “minimalist,” but few designs put in the extra effort to be minimal in their construction, too. Once you throw elastic bands, screws, stitching, or even spring-loaded levers into the mix, there's a chance any of those components can fail. The Decadent Minimalist DM1 is an example of simplicity at its finest. It's CNC-machined from a single piece of metal to carry your essential cards in a slim, lightweight package without screws, straps, and other moving parts that can jam or break. And with a new money clip accessory, it's got you covered if you carry cash, too.

At first glance, the DM1's design is so starkly minimalist, it's not obvious it's a wallet until you load cards into it. In fact, the most common 8-card version's machined metal chassis only weighs 22 grams and adds just 1.5mm thickness to your cards. Cards easily slide into the DM1 with a positive, satisfying click. The newly updated 2018 models feature improved tip designs to make loading cards easy and secure. You can choose a DM1 based on your preferred capacity and material, with 5-card, 8-card, and 12-card sizes made from aluminum, nickel, titanium, and more.

If you want a way to carry cash without bulking up your wallet, you can opt for Decadent Minimalist's new DMC Money Clip add-on. It takes up the space of one credit card and snaps into place for easy installation. The clip comes in matching finishes to pair with a DM1 whether it's snapped in or stand-alone, including a brushed stainless steel and military-inspired colorways like Flat Dark Earth and Olive Drab Green applied via a thin-film firearm coating.

No matter what your cash and card situation, you'll probably find a DM1 wallet that works for you. Decadent Minimalist wallets can even be engraved to add that extra touch of personalization to your kit, or to make it an extra special gift. I've been carrying one of these for more than a year and I love it. The money clip is a nice add on.

How does it keep the cards from falling out?

The long arms flex outward slightly. There are rounded detents at the tips of the arms that capture the cards. You'll feel and hear a nice positive click when cards are fully inserted - you'll know your cards are secure.
