Pachmayr is best known for its handgun grips. That being said, they came out with this quite decent knife at a very nice price. I got it new on Ebay for $10 bucks including shipping.
So, point #1: I'm cheap... or shall we say, frugal. Point #2: I thought I knew what I want, even though I don't have much experience in buying knives.
I learned that I don't like a point down carry. What's the sense of having to pull it out & then turn it around before you can open it? This isn't adjustable on the Pachmayr. I'm also beginning to think that I'm not a fan of pocket clips in general, since they bulk up a pocket knife. Having it on a clip means your hand is always rubbing against it & it's getting in the way when you reach into the pocket. And to me, it's also far bulkier and heavier than my regular K55 EDC.
Here's what I DO like though. Very comfortable & attractive G10 handle. Solid liner lock. Half-serrated 3.5 inch 420HC stainless steel blade with black oxide finish. Good thumb stud deployment. I'll have to get some small Torx wrenches to loosen the pivot, as the flipper is 'way too tight. And I might remove the clip.
