A good wallet is an essential part of any carry, but even the best-made wallets can turn into a bulky burden. A good wallet should help you avoid avoid bulk without sacrificing capacity, last you a long time, and protect your cards from damage or thieves. The Apex Wallet 3.0 by MSTRMND aims to be that wallet. The previous Apex Wallet was a huge crowdfunding success, and thanks to a few clever design tweaks and material upgrades the new version seems to be better in all the right ways.

At first glance, you’ll notice that the boxy design of the previous model has been updated with smooth, rounded corners throughout. This means that not only is the ergonomic design easier to handle, but it’s also more comfortable to carry. Plus, a benefit of having rounded corners is that it makes for a smooth retrieval as there are no sharp corners to get caught on anything in your pocket.

The new type-II military-grade anodized aluminum construction also benefits you in more ways than one. Not only does the RFID-shielding frame protect your personal information from people looking to steal it, but at only 1.5 ounces it likely weighs less than the cards you’ll put in it. Speaking of which, the Apex 3.0 can hold up to 7 cards and a few bills but thanks to the quality elastic band you can always add a few more if you need to. Combine the lightweight build with the fact that it’s only ⅓ inch thick, and you get a minimal wallet that can survive almost anything you throw at it.

Everyone carries differently, which is why the Apex 3.0 comes in both horizontal or vertical orientations and silver or black color options so you can pick whichever one best fits your style. Whichever one you choose will come with a quick-access thumb slot that makes getting to your cards in a pinch just one swipe away. If you’re usually wary of crowdfunding campaigns, this one has already been completely funded so there’s no guesswork involved here. Make sure to hit the link below and get one for yourself before all the perk options are gone.

I'll stick with my Apex 2.0 with the metal clip. I love not having straps of any kind. But this will be a fantastic alternative to the Machine Era, and maybe even The Ridge.

Whilst metal is the new age, nothing beats the old school leather, use my disc wallet everyday!
