Our Favorite New Gear from Nite Ize

Many companies who make EDC gear tend to stick to just one or two categories, like focusing on knives and tools or flashlights. Nite Ize, on the other hand, takes a much broader approach. They've got a wide range of innovative, useful gear, with solutions for everything ranging from tidying your keychain to walking your dog at night, and everything in between. You may recognize the brand from their ubiquitous S-Biners popping up in EDCers' keychains, but they've heavily expanded their lineup of EDC essentials to offer so much more. We're highlighting our favorites here that would make a great addition to any carry, especially if you want to make the switch to a lightweight setup that's ready for your summer adventures.

DoohicKey® Key Chain Hook Knife

As an EDCer and gear enthusiast, you've probably opened your fair share of packages by now. The DoohicKey Hook Knife makes quick work of the task with a few benefits you might not get from your main EDC blade. It's designed to fit right in with the rest of your keys on a keychain, but it features a locking, 2” blade with a hooked end. It easily cuts through packing tape without the risk of poking or damaging the package's contents. Whether you’re looking to cut some paracord on your next camping trip or just open a few packages in the office without raising any eyebrows, the sharp edge and hooked blade make this is a capable tool worth considering. Plus the included S-biner MicroLock makes it easy to always carry on you so you can get to it in a pinch.

RunOff® Waterproof Wallet

If you travel often or spend summer weekends outdoors, you'll know things can get a little messy. But that doesn't mean your gear can't stay clean. Nite Ize's new, award-winning RunOff Waterproof Wallet features durable TPU construction, RF-welded seams, and TRU® Zip waterproof zippers that are both silent and self-healing to keep your gear dry. With an IP67 water resistance rating, your cards, cash and small essentials will stay dry inside even when the wallet's submerged in a meter of water for 30 minutes. To make it even easier to carry, there's also an integrated belt loop as well as two anchor points to clip a carabiner or other gear.

I can't speak to the Money Clip + Tools, but I have a standard Nite Ize money clip wallet and it's very cool, especially when you consider the cost. I sold a couple of $50+ Billet wallets when I got this because it's functionally superior and $10.
All their stuff is made in China crap, made in sweat shops employed by workers making peanuts. No one I know would ever support a company making cheap, unethical choices — just like their products. Pay a little more and buy made in USA, purchase quality, folks!
