While your day-to-day might be full of both highs and lows, you want your EDC gear to be reliable through it all. And when it comes to your EDC watch, few companies make a reliable timepiece quite like Centric Instruments. The secret lies in their use of a unique, solar-powered movement: it keeps your watch ticking with a quick charge under the sun and none of the hassle of changing batteries or winding up with every wear. Centric Instruments brings this movement back to their revamped field watch complete with improvements across the board. These premium watches come with their own set of highs and low too: high performance with low maintenance and high class designs at a relatively low price.

The Lightwell Field Watch Mk II builds upon the success of the original Lightwell Field Watch from last year while expanding the lineup of military-inspired designs to include a chronograph for those of you who could benefit from a stopwatch in your daily kit. The collection keeps many of the premium features you’d want in your daily driver: a 316L stainless steel case, 100M water resistance, and an AR-coated sapphire lens. Japanese solar-powered movements from Seiko provide 24 hours of power from 1 minute of charging under the sun on the Field Watch (or 2 minutes of charging on the Chronograph), able to store enough power to keep the watch ticking for 6 months with a full charge. From here, subtle upgrades all around add up for an overall better experience. Its adjusted 38.5mm case wears well for a wide range of wrist sizes. Brighter SuperLuminova BGw9 on the hands and markers make the watch easier to read in low light. Finally, its larger crown makes time and date adjustments easier to set on the go.

This modern, military-inspired design isn't just rugged and functional, it also looks great and has a lasting, timeless quality to it. You can pick up the new and improved Lightwell Field Watch in your choice of Black or Ivory colorways on a NATO strap from Huckberry at the link below.
