Turning heads for Flashlight Friday's trending gear is actually a headlamp. The Petzl e+LITE's form factor is so compact and versatile it makes for a potential EDC option or emergency backup in place of a traditional flashlight.

As a headlamp, it's fitted with the features you'd want when adventuring outdoors: a 50 lumen output in a floody beam profile, a short-throw red beam for preserving night vision, a solid 12 hours of runtime, and tilt articulation for fine-tuning your illumination path.

Its features also help prepare in emergency situations, too. The red light can strobe for higher visibility and an included safety whistle on the adjustable headband gives you another tool to use when signaling for help.

The Petzl e+LITE headlamp weighs in at just 27 grams yet boasts extreme temperature resistance and water resistance, letting it easily go anywhere while standing up to harsh conditions to boot. Grab one for your next adventure this fall at the link below.

Still a superb light after all these years. I've had one for donkeys and it's bombproof.
Use as a main light if ultra-lightweight carrying/camping.
Great as a back-up or campsite/reading light, especially using the red facility to not lose your night vision.
