Aer Travel Pack 2 Small

Nobody likes waiting in line, and baggage claim at the airport is one of the worst kinds. So a lot of frequent fliers have transitioned into a onebag system to skip the line entirely. These bags are designed to be easy to pack, to accommodate all your belongings, and make room for extra essentials like a laptop too, all while carrying comfortably as carry-on luggage. But sometimes these bags tend to maximize their allotted space, making them a great at storage while not so much at EDC.

Aer’s Travel Pack 2 has been one of their most popular models, performing excellently as a travel bag while doing well—if a bit large—for everyday needs. To answer the latter, they’ve introduced the Travel Pack 2 Small, which is just what it sounds like: all the goodness of the travel-focused original, sized better for a more compact and usable EDC.

The original Travel Pack 2 addresses a lot of needs of the onebag traveler. A 33L lay-flat main compartment stores your pouch system and can compress to a flatter profile when not in use. You have a separate compartment a 15.6“ laptop, and plenty of pockets both on the the exterior and interior to organize your gear, on top of the admin panel on the front compartment. On the bottom, there’s even a shoe/used clothing compartment for convenient segregation.

Now shrink everything down 15% and you get the Travel Pack 2 Small. Besides its smaller dimensions, its capacity is now a more manageable 28L (and lighter 3.3 lb weight compared to the 3.7 lb original) which makes it ideal for an everyday commute that can transition into weekend travel. Now the bag isn’t only a onebag for flights, it can be your onebag for all your carrying needs as well.

The Travel Pack 2 Small comes in Aer’s signature use of black, water-resistant 1680D Cordura nylon. This get paired with their usual hardware of sealing (and lockable for major compartments) YKK zippers, Duraflex plastic components, comfortable padded straps, and zipper pulls all around. Last but not least, grab handles on the top and side and a sternum strap round out the Travel Pack 2 Small’s carrying options.

Aer’s Travel Pack 2 may have ruled the skies, but now its smaller brother is ready to take care of business on the ground, too. Pick up the Travel Pack 2 Small from Aer at the link below.
