The SARB017, also known as the "Alpinist," is a casual weekender option that fits right at home in the office as well as a weekend getaway. The 40 mm case offers plenty of space to display its striking green dial and gold-toned hands and numerals, surrounded by a rotating inner compass ring that comes in handy while on the trail. A date window takes its spot on the 3 o'clock position, while its complete dial design and complications sit under a sapphire crystal.
The SARB017 comes with Seiko's 6R15 automatic movement, an upgrade from their usual movements that adds hacking and hand-winding to its 20 bar (200 meters) water resistance. Last but not least, an elegant brown calfskin strap both complements the SARB017's green dial and completes the weekender aesthetic.
(Editor's note: As the original SARB017 Alpinist has been discontinued, we are linking to the modern release, the SPB121, at the link below.)
