The CRKT Swindle cuts a sleek and distinct profile reminiscent of traditional swayback knives, but modernized and given interesting design twists. It features a curved handle with a gentle curve that fits well in hand, but unlike its old school counterpart that opened via nail nicks, this modern adaptation is a fast-flicking folder. The 3.25" wharncliffe blade deploys via a small and unobtrusive flipper tab and snaps into action thanks to the IKBS bearing system in its pivot. It’s satin-finished and made form 8Cr13MoV steel, giving you a edge that’s tough enough for EDC use and still easy to maintain. And once it’s out, the sturdy framelock construction of the 4.25" long stainless steel handle keeps the blade firmly in place. On the tail end lies the Swindle’s most distinct design feature: a spring-loaded pocket clip that lies on the spine of the handle, providing positive pocket retention and easy operation thanks to knurled thumbstuds on either side. This classy yet robust flipper comes from the mind of noted designer Ken Onion, and continues to be a good option for a light-duty EDC knife. Choose from a plain handle, or a grooved one that features an upgraded 12C27 Sandvik steel blade, at the link below.
