Smoky Mountain Knife Works National Knife Day Sale

National Knife Day is just around the corner on the 24th of August, and it’s a great day for us EDCers to celebrate one of our favorite carry items. Its origins are unclear, although some suggest that it’s because on this date in 1838 Rezin Bowie wrote a letter claiming he was the creator of the iconic design. But we don’t need any details to celebrate the crude tool that has accompanied mankind throughout his survival during the early days of civilization that evolved into the practical implements and works of art that we can carry today.

National Knife Day has been celebrated since 2011, making this the 10th time we get our chance to raise our blades in unison, and appreciate this simple and elegant tool for all the utility it’s provided us for centuries. To celebrate this occasion, Smoky Mountain Knife Works is holding one of their biggest sales yet, including in-store exclusive and customized models. Here are some of our recommendations from their extensive online catalog.
