In a sea of tactical-inspired, blacked-out knives, it’s becoming harder and harder to set one apart. But with their experience making premium knives and fostering excellent collaborations, WE Knife. Co. are able to set the bar higher with every release. Their Minax is a new, full-sized flipper born from the design of the brothers at Ferrum Forge and built with some of the best materials you can find on a production knife. This is not the first time the two companies have collaborated on a design, and past joint works have created sought-after models that feature the iconic lines of Ferrum Forge designs and WE's high production values.

The Minax sports a blade ground from premium CPM-20CV stainless steel, boasting superior edge retention and corrosion resistance. This durable material is flat ground into a 3.5" drop point blade. It comes with a slightly recurved edge—extending your cutting edge and making this a great slicer, especially for draw-cuts. It’s a full-sized blade with a robust tip that makes it as capable for piercing tasks. The blade rides on caged ceramic ball bearings on the pivot, letting it deploy quickly when you actuate the jimped flipper tab. You can also use the elongated cutout on the blade, especially if you want to slow roll the blade out for more discreet situations. A forward finger choil is cut into the blade, a familiar feature on many Ferrum Forge designs like the recent CIVIVI Odium and the sleek Drop Gent. Combined with the jimping on the spine of the blade, this allows you to choke up your grip on this sturdy flipper for precision work. Otherwise, the 4.5" handles give you ample room for a secure and comfortable grip.

It’s not immediately obvious on the blackout colorway, but the Minax’s handles are milled from titanium, and feature a distinctive design with a checkered inner section reminiscent of inlays found on traditional knife designs. The overall shape and length plus the finger groove cut near the hilt offer good ergonomics when you choose to grip only the handle. On the show side, there’s the familiar and iconic WE logo on the pivot. On the other side lies a framelock mechanism that keeps the blade secure when deployed or retracted, and a robust screwed-in pocket clip that lets you keep this heavy duty, 4.62-ounce knife nearby when you need it.

The WE Knife Co. Minax comes in three variants: a monochromatic gray-handled version with a stonewashed blade, a bronzed handle with the same stonewashed blade, and finally, a blackout version with black handles and a black stonewashed blade. Check them all out at the link below.
