Wallets have gone a long way from your father’s old leather bifold. New materials and minimalist, functional designs are taking over pockets as EDCers look for the perfect way to bring their daily transaction essentials. The Pioneer Altitude Billfold wallet features their ultra-strong 10XD and 3PN materials in a format that’s friendly to international currencies, with an RFID option to boot. It makes a strong case for a lightweight, go-anywhere wallet that can endure the rigors of daily use, while being versatile enough for travel to other countries.

The Altitude is precision laser cut to its 90 (3.54") x 102 (4") form factor, that reaches only 6mm (0.23") when folded up. It opens up to a 173mm (6.81") width, and features two top-loading slots for you most frequently used cards. Behind them, two inward-facing pockets keep your other cards secure when the wallet is folded up. Despite its slim and svelte design, this wallet lets you bring up to 12 cards combined. Behind the cards, there’s a section for bills, engineered to fit most currencies, regardless of which part of the world you’re in. A notch cut into the upper corners help you orient the Altitude in your pocket, letting you determine which side is up when you pull it out.

The Onyx colorway of the Altitude comes in 10XD and features RFID protection in a build that uses a blend of Nylon and UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) to give you a bombproof wallet that’s slimmer than leather. This fabric used is rated ten times stronger than steel which gives the material its name. For those interested in adding a splash of color to their EDC, the Altitude also comes in Navy, Slate, Earth, and Evergreen using their 3PN fabric. This 3-ply, high-density ripstop nylon comes in a fine matte finish and, like the 10XD variant, uses a dirt- and water-resistant coating to improve longevity and keep your wallet looking fresh and new, even after months of use.

If you’re looking for a modern minimalist wallet that can keep up with you wherever you go, the Pioneer Altitude Wallet presents a well-engineered, slim, and versatile option. From the durable materials and robust construction to the thoughtful details like top-cut notches and currency versatility, this wallet is built to go the distance.
