Chrome Industries Early Winter Sale

With the coming of the New Year comes an opportunity to take stock of your everyday carry and make some upgrades where needed. And with end of the year sales kicking into high gear, making those upgrades is an even easier choice to make. With their impressive line of smartly-designed EDC bags and packs as well as practical technical apparel, Chrome Industries’ Early Winter Sale should definitely be on your radar. Until January 4th you can enjoy up to 40% off gear from the Fall/Winter 2020 collection.

And while it might feel a little strange to be picking up new gear, if we’ve learned anything from this year it’s that preparing for change is important, and a transition to the “new normal” could warrant some new pickups. It’s also perfectly fine to spoil yourself sometimes, especially after a holiday season where you’ve been shopping for other people instead. To help you pick out the gear that will help you start off 2021 from a much better place, we’ve put together this roundup of the best picks from Chrome Industries right now.

Urban EX 2.0 Rolltop 30L Backpack

A return to the great outdoors necessitates some consideration to keeping the elements away from your gear, especially if your away-from-home everyday carry includes sensitive electronics like computers, tablets, and cameras. Whether you’re going to spend more time next year getting back to the office or heading to new places when possible, the Urban EX 2.0 Rolltop Backpack has your waterproof protection needs covered. It features a 100% welded waterproof nylon fabric shell with further security provided via its rolltop closure. With 30 liters of space there’s enough capacity for your EDC essentials, and its ergonomic straps and yoke design make long term carry of heavier items not a burden at all. Also available in a 20-liter size.

Men’s Brannan Pant

The Brannan Pant is designed for heavy duty use that will stand up to riding a bike regularly, but its workwear-inspired good looks make it suitable for general EDC and office use even if you don’t ride to work at all. It’s also made out of water-resistant 4-way-stretch Everest fabric to keep your legs dry if you get caught out in the rain, and its zippered front pocket makes it a great choice for carrying important documents like your passport in the future.

415 Workboot

If you’re in the market for some new shoes for the new year, make sure to take a look at Chrome Industries’ 415 Workboot. It features the styling and comfort of a casual sneaker aided with an impact-resistant PU footbed, but its super abrasion-resistant 1000D nylon upper is built for the heavy wear and tear of a daily life on the go, with a fully vulcanized rubber outsole for extreme durability. Its slim styling works well with both casual and office wear, and the high top, padded collar design gives you more ankle stability and protection. Plus, because the toe box is low profile, you can wear these boots while riding a high-end commuter bike, something not always possible with traditional work boots.

And its dedicated padded laptop sleeve fits 13" computers and tablets like the new MacBook Pro or Microsoft Surface. With 17 liters of capacity and an internal organizer that allows you to separate clothing, the Lako is a great choice for one-bag travel convenience. Plus, its weatherproof tarp liner with durable nylon shell construction and roll-top closure helps keep the elements out when you’re traveling from place to place.

I have a Chrome messenger bag I bought in 2003-2004ish, I carried it through college and still carry it pretty much every day, commuting on a bicycle or motorcycle. Simply an incredibly well-made piece of gear!
