Sometimes the secret to making a great knife even better is the size it down to fit more people’s everyday carry needs. That’s the approach WE Knives took with their new Mini Synergy, a more pocket-friendly version of their original collaboration design with custom knife maker Jim O’Young. And you’d be mistaken if you assume that the smaller knife can’t cut it in the field, especially since the Mini Synergy packs in the same premium materials and ergonomic construction you’ve come to expect out of a well-designed high-end EDC folding knife. The only difference is that you won’t have to leave this knife behind when you go out the door with limited space in your pockets.

The Mini Synergy’s compact 3" trailing-point blade has a distinct upswept shape with a strong trip. It features an extended curved belly and a hollow-ground edge for excellent slicing performance. Pair that up with the CPM-20CV premium stainless steel composition of the blade itself and you have a recipe for a small EDC knife that can get sharp and stay sharp through constant use.

Deployment of the blade is an easy one-handed affair thanks to its flipper opening with caged ceramic ball bearings in the pivot for a smooth action. And because the textured 6AL4V titanium handle also doubles as a reliable frame lock, there’s little to no blade play even during heavy use with this knife. Fully folded, this knife disappears into your pockets with its deep-carry clip, ready to go until the next time it’s needed.

If you’re looking for a new compact EDC knife but you’re not willing to sacrifice in both design and materials, the WE Knife Co. Mini Synergy flipper knife is a great place to start. It has the ergonomics and the chops to cut above its size, and it absolutely deserves your attention. Buy one today at the link below.
