With the Citizen Promaster Diver BJ8050-08E, a.k.a “Ecozilla,” legibility is the name of the game. It features big everything; big hands, big markers, big numbers on its bezel and even a big case at 48mm. Both the markers and hands are treated with luminous paint to provide low-light legibility. The unidirectional rotating bezel also features a luminescent point to help keep track of its position. Like a lot of Citizen’s models, it also Eco-Drive technology for its movement. This allows the watch to convert natural and artificial light into energy. This energy is later stored into its battery cell, which keeps the watch charged continuously so its timekeeping is never interrupted. This distinctive movement also powers the date complication at the three o’clock position. All its components are protect by a stainless steel case with a 6mm, anti-reflective curved crystal. Staying true to its diver design, the Ecozilla comes with 300M of water resistance, one of the highest you can get at this price point. So if you’re looking for a dive watch with a high legibility and exceptional presence and performance, this deserves a spot on your wrist. Pick one up in the link below.

At first glance I was hoping Pebble was making a comeback. My favourite watch ever.

Sure do miss Pebble Technology. Now that Google acquired Fitbit maybe we'll see an e-paper color display watch that'll last a week on a battery charge.
