One look at the Ed Van Hoy-designed CRKT Snap and you can immediately see that this isn’t your ordinary EDC knife. What makes it shine and gives it its unique look is its peculiar way of deployment. Instead of a blade that folds down into the side of its handles, the Snap’s blade rotates outward 180° from the handle itself. To open it, you press the front cam lever mechanism down with your thumb and rotate the blade outward until you feel it snap, which lets you know that it’s secure. This is a smaller knife, with a blade that measures 2.55“ and an overall length of 6.25″ when extended. Both the blade and the handle feature a 420J2 stainless steel construction for durability and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its ultra-skeletonized body, it remains lightweight at only 2.5 oz. If you’ve been looking for a compact knife with a unique and fun design, the CRKT Snap is definitely worth a look. You can pick one up in the link below.
