One of the best qualities you can have of any item in your EDC kit is versatility. When we only have limited pocket space to prepare for whatever the day throws at us, having a tool that can step up to the task, whatever the circumstances, is truly essential. The new Nitecore MH25S flashlight embodies this kind of flexibility as part of the brand’s “Multitask Hybrid Series.” True to its name, it can multi-task as a tactical light, EDC light, or outdoors light, thanks to its modernized feature set, raw output power, multiple carry configurations, and convenient “dual fuel” battery options. When you need just one light to do it all, this 1,800-lumen flashlight has you covered.

The power behind the MH25S's output and 504-meter throw comes from an included 5000mAh 21700 li-ion battery, a larger platform becoming more and more utilized for high-powered EDC flashlights. It's a step up from the popular 18650 cell in size, output, and capacity, and it's put to great use in the MH25S paired with its Luminus SST-40-W LED. Thanks to the light's head shape and smooth reflector as well, you get 1,800 lumens for up to 504 meters on Turbo, while Ultralow squeezes out up to 1,500 hours (62.5 days!) of 1-lumen output.

A dual switch configuration gives you plenty of options to manage the MH25S's five main output modes and three special modes, with two main user modes to switch between everyday use and more tactical applications. The proud tail switch gives easy momentary and full activation even while gloved, and the metal side switch both navigates modes and acts as a battery indicator to let you know when to top up. True to its versatile nature, the MH25S also comes with a USB-C charging port for convenience, able to fill up its 21700 battery as well as its other compatible cells (18650, 2 x RCR123A, non-rechargeable 2 x CR123A). And even with the port in place, the light is still rated IP68 for impact and water resistance.

Versatility is the name of the game with the Nitecore MH25S, and in one EDC light you get power, distance, longevity, and all the modern touches that give it the capable convenience of an everyday light. Pick one up at the link below.
