When it comes to machined pens for EDC, Tactile Turn are often at the top of the list of recommendations, thanks to their stellar line of popular bolt-action pens in a variety of sizes and materials. But in spite of the variety you already get from their standard lines, they also feature seasonal releases with additional unique features thrown into the mix. These pens feature exotic and premium materials along with stand-out patterns and designs. The Overlander is the seasonal release for Spring this year, and if you’re a fan of the outdoors and desert-themed colorways, this pen is up for your next off-grid adventure.

The Overlander comes in a two-tone colorway, sporting a mil-spec Olive Drab green body painted with Coyote Tan accents on the pocket clip and clicking mechanism. Both colors feature a Cerakote finish to add an extra layer of protection, ceramic coating that’s abrasion, temperature, and scratch-resistant. If you look even closer, you’ll notice that the pocket clip also features a unique engraved pattern, designed after reptilian scales.

But the Overlander doesn’t just look the part for the outdoors; it’s also built tough enough for it. The main material used in the body is titanium, giving it one of the best strength-to-weight ratios out there. Thanks to this construction, the pen only weighs 1.2 oz in its largest form, while retaining a crush-proof quality. This titanium body also features fine ringed knurling all over to provide you with additional grip. And to add to its durable features, the Overlander also comes with a heavy-duty pocket clip attached with two bolts rather than the usual single-bolt construction.

The pen is available in three different sizes, giving you versatility to pick the one that best suits your day-to-day. First, you have the “Standard,” measuring a full 5.8" and weighing in at 1.2 oz. This version comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill out of the box. In the middle is the "Short," measuring 5.3" and weighing in at 1.1 oz, and comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill. Last but not least, the "Mini" sports a portable size and weight of 4.9" and 0.9 oz, complemented by a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7 mm refill. All pens come with the same deployment mechanism, a rear clicky button with a side switch for a satisfying release.

The Overlander is made in the USA and machined in Texas, and comes backed with Tactile Turn’s Lifetime Warranty. Pick out the perfect-sized pen from their site at the link below, and be sure to grab one before this limited edition ends its run on May 18th.
