Buck Budgie

Buck Knives might not be the first brand that comes to mind when you think of a new modern everyday carry knife. But recently they’ve been making great strides with solid knives made of premium materials that are a clear leap forward from the traditional knives they’re best known for. One of their latest releases is the new Buck Budgie, which features a unique look and premium steel paired with a strong frame lock and the ergonomics that help it cut like a knife twice its size. It’s every bit the modern folder, built on Buck’s long heritage and prowess for making EDC knives.

Unlike the traditional gents knives that Buck tends to make, the Budgie is modern through and through. It starts with its premium 2″ hollow-ground drop point blade made out of CPM-S35VN stainless steel. It has a well-defined point for piercing work and an extended belly that makes it a great slicing tool as well. And because of its choil the edge is actually easier to maintain on a stone compared to most everyday carry knives.

The 3.25 inch long handle features grippy G-10 scales on one side and a stainless steel frame lock on the other for a firm lockup even during rough use. The handle is designed in such a way to give your right hand easy access to the blade’s large eyehole for manual deployment. And on the other side of the knife there’s a deep carry pocket clip that helps the blade disappear in your pockets when it’s not in use. For a bit of flair the rear backspacer features bright red Cerakote, and it also serves as a lanyard hole in case you wish to add one yourself.

And at just 2.1oz the Buck Budgie won’t weigh you down like its traditional gents knife cousins. Its sleek modern looks, practical design, and premium materials make it a unique part of their EDC lineup, and it deserves your attention as you search for your next everyday carry knife. Check it out for yourself in two colorways and buy one today at the link below.
